Following in the footsteps of the great pianists of his generation, Vardan Mamikonian has always been acclaimed by critics for his consummate mastery of the keyboard, which serves his extraordinary musicality.
He has since built his career in the United States, where he has shared the stage with renowned orchestras such as the Atlanta, San Francisco, Detroit, Pacific and Houston symphonies, the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl.
He has been a guest at the world’s leading international festivals, including Verbier in Switzerland, Ravinia in the United States, La Roque d’Anthéron in France, the Chopin Festival in Nohant, France, the Liszt Festival in Châteauroux, the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival in Germany, and the Hong Kong Arts Festival in China.
He has also performed as a soloist in Germany and the Netherlands with the Kirov Orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev, at the Grand Theatre in Shanghai, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Munich Philharmonie and the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. In recent seasons, he has performed in Turin with the RAI Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eliahu Inbal, as well as with the Bamberger Symphoniker, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Radio France Symphony Orchestra. 
Vardan Mamikonian has taken part in numerous recordings for radio and television, as well as for the German label ORFEO. Several of his recordings have been praised by the international press. 2025 will see the release of a new CD, ‘Invitation to Dance’, on the TYXart label.
